Now, Romain Gauthier introduces the Carbonium Edition, a bold and lightweight addition to the lineup.
A Sporty Vision
The C by Romain Gauthier Carbonium Edition is a more casual, sportier take on the original design, playing on the trend of combining luxury with casual attire. The collection has expanded to feature metal bracelets and textured dials, and the Carbonium Edition takes this concept further.
Carbonium: A Lightweight Composite
The key innovation lies in the material used: Carbonium, a layered carbon composite sourced from aerospace-grade fibers. This results in a textured case with an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making the watch remarkably light at just 43 grams (including the strap).
Design and Dial
The Carbonium Edition retains the classic design of previous models, including a 42mm barrel-shaped case with a scalloped bezel and a well-integrated strap. The dial showcases a semi-openworked display, combining sapphire crystal and Carbonium, revealing the titanium movement underneath. The rest of the dial features Super-LumiNova numerals and indices with various color accents, and the hands are made of grade 5 titanium.
In-House Movement
Inside the case is an in-house, hand-wound movement designed to be equally light, with most bridges made from titanium and Carbonium. Finished by hand, it runs at a modern 4Hz frequency and provides a generous 60-hour power reserve, combining modernity and tradition.
Strap and Buckle
The watch is worn on a well-integrated rubber strap, available in multiple colors to match the indexes, featuring a Carbonium pattern, and secured by a Carbonium pin buckle.
